It's my privilege to have gotten to do this very important work with children, adolescents and adults for the last twenty-five years. I bring trauma-informed focus to my work, viewing symptoms as the result of psychiatric injuries rather than psychiatric illnesses. All humans have within them all they need to heal and move forward with satisfying and joyful lives. My goal is to help clients access and realize this potential inside themselves.
My typical way of working is using both traditional talk-therapy techniques along with a focus on working with trauma by accessing body sensations, images, behaviors and meaning to assist clients in the resolution of trauma and in experiencing life in more pleasurable, satisfying and joyful ways.
I am currently training to complete a three-year long Somatic Experiencing Advanced Trauma Treatment course at the Foundation for Human Enrichment founded by trauma expert Peter Levine, Ph.D.
